Davis High Girls Basketball hosted St. Francis Thursday Night. It was Break-the-Record Night and a Pink Out game. The energy was electric, and vibrant pink filled the South Gym—uniforms, shirts, balloons. A wave of color washed over St. Francis from the opening tip.
Davis played like the court was tilted downhill, piling up steals, blocks, and points from every direction. St. Francis never found its footing as Davis jumped out to an early 8–0 lead and finished the first quarter ahead 19–10. The Blue Devils held strong, maintaining a 10-point cushion for a 33–24 halftime advantage.
Davis found its rhythm in the third quarter, with Lorelei Nachman and Sonia Clayton connecting again and again to push the lead to 52–27. The scoring didn’t slow down—Nachman knocked down a deep three, and Mehr Lamba followed with a corner triple to stretch the margin to 60–28.
St. Francis refused to quit and managed to trim the lead to 18 with a minute remaining, but the comeback fell short. Davis closed out a dominant performance with a 64–43 victory.
Davis improved its record to 13-8 and is back in action Tuesday January 26th, hosting Whitney High at 7:30.
